What I've been up to
Hi friends! Sorry I haven't blogged lately. I have been consumed in husband, work, family and working out! As this weather is starting to get colder, it is definitely harder for people to workout. Falling back an hour means less light after work to run...which means I have been seeing a lot more of LA Fitness. Stay tuned for posts about great gym workouts! In the meantime, here is what I have been doing the past few weeks:
One of my best friends, Kelly got married! It was a beautiful wedding at a Bloomington church followed by a reception at The Stables.
I spent the next weekend in Bloomington celebrating my Grandpa's 87th birthday. I during my time at home I took full advantage of my parents and the hills and we went on a long morning bike ride. I used to do this all the time when I lived at home so it is a treat to do when I am visiting!
I am a lucky girl that my Grandpa has been such a big part of my life.
Jake and I have been doing our usual morning workouts before work and quite honestly, I am starting to love them and get used to them. We have gotten to a point where we rarely even wake up to our alarm at 5:15...our bodies just wake us up. So for all you people who hate morning workouts...give it time! Trust me! Jake always orders stuff from Body building.com, so his last order he got me some Amino Energy for pre, during AND post workout.
It mainly helps with muscle recovery and gives me a little bit of caffeine early in the morning and then when I'm done working out it helps me not be as sore!
On that note, I was extra excited this week when I did a lift session with Jake and was able to lat-pull 100lbs 10 times! Sometimes I just need Jake to challenge me.
While I was away this weekend Jake surprised me with this craft for our workout room:
He really is the greatest. These will hang on the wall after we paint. It is all of our running bibs from races. I am lucky I have such a thoughtful husband!

I am heading to San Fran tomorrow for work! I hope I get some free time to run and explore the city. I plan on continuing my workouts while I'm out there! It is my last jam packed weekend until Thanksgiving. Jake and I are considering doing the Drumstick Dash in Broadripple on Thnksgiving morning before we head down to Btown.

Hello, I found your blog today and it is an inspiration! To see how well you are doing, despite commitments in the other areas of your life, has given me the drive to get back on the bandwagon and shift the baby bulge after 3 years of losing hope. Keep up the great work!!
