Big news first----- I am really, really excited to announce my sister and her family are moving back to the Indianapolis area!! They have been in Chicago the last 10 years and it has been really difficult being so far away. I foresee lots of workouts with my sister happening in the future! Did you know she loves fitness just as much as I do? Check out her recent blog post about getting back in shape after baby #3.

I am so grateful that my family loves fitness. I have mentioned many times that I was raised in a very active family and I have my mom and dad to truly thank for my love of fitness.

Random Fitness Updates:
Jake had the afternoon of Good Friday off of work so I decided to take a half day. We decided to leave Scarlett in school and use the afternoon for some US time. I went downtown and met him at the War Memorial and we did a stair workout. I used to spend a lot of time here working out when I lived downtown. It felt great to be back down there! I highly recommend taking advantage of places like this around Indy for some quick and hard workouts
I've been able to do some garage workouts since the weather has been warmer. I prefer to workout in the garage in the evening AFTER Scarlett goes to bed- I just feel better vs. in the morning. This was a great workout:
-15 hang cleans
-50 jumping jacks
-12 hang cleans
-25 squat jacks
-10 hang cleans
-20 jump squats
-8 hang cleans
-10 lunges
-2 hang cleans
-ABS
Spinsanity: As part of my triathlon training I have been trying to incorporate spinning/biking outside and swimming. Leeanna and I have been going to SPINSANITY at the gym across from our neighborhood every Tuesday and Thursday at 5:30AM. It is quick, hard and we love it.
My dad loved biking--- in fact, Leeanna went on quite a few rides with my dad and I. We are both using him as our motivation on these early mornings. I hear his voice in my head every time and I just know how excited he would be that Leeanna and I are spinning together. He would be so, so proud.

-5:30AM Spinsanity with Leeanna + a strength circuit
April 21
-4 mile run with JJ after work
April 22
-Morning workout @ HWC
1 mile sprint
30 second speed mill
15 weighted push-ups
15 ring pulls
Repeat 5X
Light back squats
2 sets of 20
2 mile trail run with JJ later in the day
April 23
-Morning brick workout- 8 mile bike ride 3 mile run
April 24
-Taught Sculpt and Tone and Boxing Fusion
April 25
-5:30am Spinsanity with Leeanna
-Quick full body workout during lunch
- 25 minute stairs
- 5 minute row
- Wall balls/lunges/abs
-Full body cardio/weights workout at lunch
- 1 mile increment sprint to warm up
- 15 thrusters, 15 kettlebell X4
- Lunge press with free bar (30lbs) X4 each leg
- Squat press with free bar (30lbs)
- Assisted pull ups
- Medicine ball squat throws/medicine ball lunge throws/ jumping lunges
- 1 mile cool down jog
